Sacred Heart School, Greenwich, CT; Chapin School, New York, NY;
Columbia Prep, New York, NY; Dalton School, New York, NY;

Currently

I am serving as lead consultant for the National Association of College Admissions Counseling (NACAC) on a project to investigate the use of validity studies by college admission offices.  Validity studies verify that the criteria an institution uses in their admission process have the ability to predict the academic achievement of students who enroll.  I presented twice on this project at the fall, 2011 NACAC national conference in New Orleans.

In addition, I continue to assist St. Olaf College (Northfield, MN) on issues related to admissions operations, and am completing an admission office assessment for Sarah Lawrence College.  I recently created a recruitment plan for a Midwestern theological seminary and worked during the 201-11 school year with an independent school in the New York City area on the recruitment of new students for the 9th Grade.

I have to date served as an independent college counselor for students in seven states and overseas.

In August, 2010, I was interviewed for Cram, the newsletter published by GCF. The interview can be read at their web site.

In 2009, I served as an advisor to David Marcus in the creation of his book Acceptance. The book, which was published by Penguin Press in July, follows a dedicated and talented guidance counselor through his final year in a high school before retirement.

I also worked with North Yarmouth Academy (Maine) on enrollment and marketing issues and in June,  spoke at The Summer Seminar sponsored by The Lawlor Group and Hardwick-Day in June in Minneapolis. My talk was entitled: “Reflections of a Chief Enrollment Officer: Past, Present and Future.”  A summary of the talk can be found at The Lawlor Review, pages 22-23.
